Sportswear giant Nike has unveiled the Nigeria New Jersey for 2020. Nike, which is the official jersey producer after they signed a contract worth $750, 000 (148m Naira) in its first year and would rise to $1million (198m Naira) each year with the Nigerian football federation has unveiled a master class new jersey for 2020.
Taking to Twitter, the Senior Director, Global Communications for Nike, Heidi Burgett posted the Nigeria New Jersey on his verified page. She revealed that the home jersey was inspired by traditional agbada while Onaism inspired the away jersey.
He wrote ‘New 2020 kits for Nigeria: Home kit’s hand-drawn design fuses the traditional aesthetic of an agbada robe w/ modern football design. Away kit trim was inspired by Onanism. Broader collection of Super Eagles apparel includes a poncho, vest, dress, & more.'”
